Royal Doulton - Dinnerware

Royal Doulton is an English china company which began as "Doulton and Company" (founded in 1853). The company now owns several other manufacturing companies, such as Minton, Royal Albert, Paragon and others. I carry pieces from thirteen of their patterns.


Brambly Hedge

Royal Doulton's Brambly Hedge pattern depicts different scenes and events, such as the four seasons, birthdays, weddings, etc.

Bredon Hill

Royal Doulton produced Bredon Hill from 1982 to 1992. It has a tan background with a delicate floralspray.

Bunnykins

Royal Doulton has produced the Bunnykins pattern in three different shapes. The Albion shape started in 1936 and continues to this day.

Carlyle

Royal Doulton produced the Carlyle pattern from 1972 to 2001. It has a white background with teal and gold floral accents.

Cornwall

Royal Doulton made two varieties of the Cornwall pattern. One has a single line of green trim; the other, a double line. The pattern predominantly features fruits and berries.

Dubarry

Royal Doulton Dubarry is from the Lambethware line. It was produced from 1975 to 1979 and has pale pink, blue and yellow flowers and green leaves.

Floradora Green

Royal Doulton's Floradora Green pattern is a multi-colored floral pattern on a scalloped shape with green trim. It dates to the mid 1980s.

Gaiety

Royal Doulton Gaiety was produced from 1976 to 1983. It has a tan background with a floral design in the center.

Harlow

Royal Doulton produced Harlow from 1974 to 2001. It has a gold rim and a circle of tiny blue flowers and gold leaves in the center.

Hill Top

Royal Doulton Hill Top is a Lambethware pattern that was produced from 1978 to 1986. It has a speckled tan background with blue and white flowers.

Jacobean

Royal Doulton Jacobean is from their "Everyday" line. It has a cream-colored background with a band of multi-colored flowers. The pattern was introduced in 1997 and discontinued in 2004.

Kaleidoscope

Royal Doulton Kaleidoscope is a circular pattern of orange, brown and gold on white background. The same day we bought this pattern we bought some Pyrex two-tone bowls in red and orange and couldn't help but notice how well they went together. Then, of course, Tiffin's smoke Madeira glasses came to mind.

Kingswood

Royal Doulton made two patterns named Kingswood. This one has a while background with a spray of red, yellow and blue flowers. It was produced from 1977 to 1998.

Lisa

Royal Doulton's Lisa pattern is done in the Albion shape. It has a platinum rim with blue and pink flowers on a cream-colored background.

Mandalay

Royal Doulton produced Mandalay from 1971 to 1986. It has a cream-dolored background with delicate white and blue flowers with brown leaves.

Persian Rose

The Minton/Royal Doulton Persian Rose pattern has blue and gold scrolls with small pink and blue flowers on a cream-colored background.

Sienna

The Royal Doulton Sienna pattern features concentric circles of cream, white and shades of brown.

Royal Doulton The Coppice has a cream background with pheasants in flight.

Tonkin

Royal Doulton began producing Tonkin in 1974. Production ceased in 1990.

I don't know when Royal Doulton began producing Pooh related items.
