Royal Doulton is an English china company which began as "Doulton and Company" (founded in 1853). The company has been acquired by Fiskar which also owns Wedgwood and Royal Albert. I carry pieces from thirty-one of their patterns.

Autumn Morn

Royal Doulton's Autumn Morn is one of the Lambeth Soneware patterns. It has a beige-speckled background with orange flowers and green leaves. It was produced from 1977 to 1982.

Royal Doulton Berkshire has a green leave double border with gold trim. It was produced from 1965 to 1998.

Brambly Hedge

Royal Doulton's Brambly Hedge pattern depicts different scenes and events, such as the four seasons, birthdays, weddings, etc.

Bredon Hill

Royal Doulton produced Bredon Hill from 1982 to 1992. It has a tan background with a delicate floral spray.

Royal Doulton has produced the Bunnykins pattern in three different shapes. The Albion shape started in 1936 and continues to this day.

Royal Doulton produced the Carlyle pattern from 1972 to 2001. It has a white background with teal and gold floral accents.

Royal Doulton's Clovelly has a white backgroun with delicate pink and orange roses with green leaves. It was produced from 1941 to 1961.

Royal Doulton made two varieties of the Cornwall pattern. One has a single line of green trim; the other, a double line. The pattern predominantly features fruits and berries.

Floradora Green

Royal Doulton's Floradora Green pattern is a multi-colored floral pattern on a scalloped shape with green trim. It dates to the mid 1980s.

Royal Doulton Florinda has a tan and speckled background with a blue, white and green floral print. It was produced from 1981 to 1992.

Royal Doulton Gaiety was produced from 1976 to 1983. It has a tan background with a floral design in the center.

Royal Doulton produced Harlow from 1974 to 2001. It has a gold rim and a circle of tiny blue flowers and gold leaves in the center.

Hill Top

Royal Doulton Hill Top is a Lambethware pattern that was produced from 1978 to 1986. It has a speckled tan background with blue and white flowers.


Royal Doulton Jacobean is from their "Everyday" line. It has a cream-colored background with a band of multi-colored flowers. The pattern was introduced in 1997 and discontinued in 2004.

Royal Doulton produced the Josephine pattern with gold trim (1995 to 2004) or platinum trim (2000 to 2004). There was also another Josephine pattern completely different in appearance with no trim.

Royal Doulton Kaleidoscope is a circular pattern of orange, brown and gold on white background. The same day we bought this pattern we bought some Pyrex two-tone bowls in red and orange and couldn't help but notice how well they went together. Then, of course, Tiffin's smoke Madeira glasses came to mind.

Royal Doulton made two patterns named Kingswood. This one has a while background with a spray of red, yellow and blue flowers. It was produced from 1977 to 1998.

Royal Doulton's Lisa pattern is done in the Albion shape. It has a platinum rim with blue and pink flowers on a cream-colored background.

Royal Doulton produced Mandalay from 1971 to 1986. It has a cream-dolored background with delicate white and blue flowers with brown leaves.

Royal Doulton Melissa is from their "The Romance Collection." The background is ivory with a platinum trim and a floral border. It was produced from 1983 to 1996.

Persian Rose

The Minton/Royal Doulton Persian Rose pattern has blue and gold scrolls with small pink and blue flowers on a cream-colored background.

Royal Doulton produced Ravenswood in England from 1971 to 1992.

Real Old Willow

Royal Doulton began producing Real Old Willow in 1982. I haven't been able to confirm, but I believe at some point Royal Doulton acquired the rights to Booths' Real Old Willow pattern after the Ridgway Potteries Ltd. ceased production. The pattern is nearly identical to Booths with slight differences in depth of color and defintion.


Royal Doulton produced Sandsprite from 1976 to 1992. There were two different version - one with a single brown trim line and one with a double.

The Royal Doulton Sienna pattern features concentric circles of cream, white and shades of brown.

Royal Doulton Tangier was produced from 1973 to 1982. The pattern features a cream background with a primarily light and dark blue geometric/floral design. It is from the Lambeth Stoneware line.

Royal Doulton The Coppice has a cream background with pheasants in flight.

Royal Doulton began producing Tonkin in 1974. Production ceased in 1990.
