Nippon See also: Noritake China Glassware While Nippon is not really the name of this dinnerware, Noritake produced it prior to 1921 ( before the US imposed a regulation that all imported item had to bear the English name of the country of origin. Nippon is the Japanese name for Japan. Note the backstamp.
