Gorham Company Midnight Contessa Bread and Butter Plate

Gorham Company - Dinnerware

The Gorham Company was started in 1831 and began producing fine china in 1970 when they took over the Flintridge China Company. They continued producing many of the patterns initiated by Flintridge but used their own backstamp. They discontinued producing china in 1984 and began importing it.

Ariana Town and Country

Gorham Ariana Town and Country has a cream background with petite reddish-orange flowers on long blue stems with green leaves.

Cocoa Rose

Gorham Cocoa Rose is a replication of the Flintridge Cocoa Rose pattern. It has a cream background with tan and a chocolate rose as decoration. The trim is platinum.

After Gorham acquired Flintridge, they continued to produce the Contessa pattern. It is identical to Flintridge except for the printing on the backstamp. There were two variations: Peacock Blue dating from 1970, and Contessa Black produced from 1972 to 1989.

Edgemont Gold

Gorham produced Edgemont Gold for only three years - 1993 to 1996. It has a white background with a blue marble rim and gold accents.

Melon Bud

Gorham produced Melon Bud from 1986 to 1994. It has a cream colored background with blue flowers, red stems and green leaves.

Midnight Contessa

The Gorham Midnight Contessa pattern is one that originated as a Flintridge China pattern. It has a cream background with black and gold rings.

Regalia Court Teal

Gorham Regalia Court Teal has a white background with a teal-colored marble-like band and gold trim. This pattern had a relatively short live as it was introduced in 1993 and discontinued in 1998.

Royal Contessa

Gorham Royal Contessa has a cream background with platinum and gold bands with gold trim. It was produced from 1989 to 1993.
