This pattern is one of the older ones, first appearing in 1940. This pottery has a cream background with an apple and leaf border. Although Franciscan is no longer manufacturing pottery in California, the Franciscan Apple pattern continues to be produced in England. Pieces with the California backstamp are the older, more desirable pieces. |
