Twin Winton Ceramics gets its name from the twin brothers who founded it in 1946, Ross and Don Winton. The company began in Pasadena, California and later moved to San Juan Capistrano, California. Probably most well-known for their cookie jars, Twin Winton did make other items such as pitchers and mugs. Many of their items matched their cookie jars such as the squirrel and bear salt, pepper shakers and napkin holders.
