Lenox China Company - Housewares

Lenox, Inc. has been around since 1894 and is still going strong. The company is located in Trenton, New Jersey. I now have pieces from over eighty-four different patterns. Over 25 are from the Temperware line as well as a few from the "For the Blue/Grey/Beige" series. I just replenished my selection of Merriment. I also offer pieces of their specialty dinnerware. I came across a piece that was labelled "Made In China". I went to the Lenox web site to investigate and there was no indication that any items were made in a country other than the United States. I made an inquiry and was advised by a company representative that their "fine dinnerware is manufactured in the United States." Their "collectibles and giftware are manufactured in many of the Lenox owned and operated factories throughout the world."

Heart Collection

Lenox produced their special Heart Collection in 1998. It consisted of various sized vases and bowls. It has a cream background with gold trim and heart-shaped cut-outs.

Rose Blossom

Lenox Rose Blossom is a special pattern of china. The background is cream colored with 24K gold trim. It offers a raised relief rose design.
