Tiffin Glass - GlasswareSee also: Tiffin Glass KitchenwareTiffin is a popular United States glass manufacturer with a history dating back to 1888 with A. J. Beatty & Sons and the U. S. Glass Company. The company was purchased by Interpace and produced a line of glassware (Madeira) to complement the Franciscan dinnerware patterns. The final end came to the company in 1980 when production ceased. I also carry some of Tiffin's apothecary jars, Moon & Stars punch bowl/cups, and King's Crown glassware. |
Candy/Apothecary JarsTiffin (aka U.S. Glass) made containers for other companies. Some held soaps; others, candy. We lump those items together here. | ![]() |
King's CrownThe Tiffin King's Crown pattern is very hard to distinquish from Indiana's Thumbprint pattern. About the only difference we have found is that Tiffin used a flashed glass method to add color whereas Indiana used a solid colored glass. | ![]() |
Madeira Apple GreenThe glasses produced by Tiffin for Franciscan varied in color. The Madeira Apple Green glasses are a brighter green than the Citron or Olive glasses. | ![]() |
Madeira CitronThe Madeira Citron glassware by Tiffin was made to go with several Franciscan Pottery patterns. Try it out with the Greenhouse series, Pebble Beach or Wheat (green). It is definitely not delicate and is quite heavy. | ![]() |

Moon and StarsTiffin did not make a large variety of items in the Moon and Stars pattern as Smith, Wright and Fenton did. So far, I have only seen punch bowls and cups in crystal, milk glass and ruby flash. | ![]() |
Special ThistleTiffin produced this Special Thistle pattern from 1924 to 1934. It is a needle etched thistle design on an optic base.
