What began in 1900 as New Martinsville Glass Manufacturing Company became The Viking Glass Company in 1944. Located in New Martinsville, West Virginia, these two companies were producers of elegant and colorful decorative glass pieces. The company went out of business in 1999 but their products remain popular.

New Martinsville pattern #415 was a clear glass candlestick with an upswept "tail" which reminds us of a squirrel.

Candlewick

Viking Candlewick is like the Imperial Glass pattern. A ring of glass balls grace the outer rim.

Epic

The Epic pattern is a six petal design. Pieces produced include compotes, candy dishes, vases, candlesticks, etc. Some of the colors are avocado, evergreen, persimmon amber, bluenique and ruby.

Flowerlite 007

Viking produced the "Flowerette/Flowerlite" lines in the 1950s. The bowls came in a wide variety of colors, including silver overlays. The glass frogs accommodated flowers with a large opening for a candle in the center (the Flowerlite line).

Janice

The Janice pattern originated with the New Martinsville Glass Company and was carried on with Viking Glass. Colors produced included clear crystal, blue and red.
